This month, Strathearn Psychology proudly celebrates its five-year anniversary—a milestone that gives us the opportunity to reflect on our journey, our growth, and the incredible community that has supported us along the way. What started as a small practice of dedicated clinicians has grown into a thriving space where mental health care, collaboration, and connection are at the heart of what we do. As we continue to evolve, one thing remains constant: our commitment to building and nurturing a strong community, both within our practice and beyond.
From the very beginning, Strathearn Psychology has been guided by core values of community, growth, and people. These values shape how we practice, how we collaborate, and how we engage with those around us. Over the past five years, we have had the privilege of walking alongside many individuals on their wellness journeys, providing a space where healing, self-discovery, and connection can thrive.
Growth Through Connection
One of the most powerful aspects of community is the sense of belonging it creates. We know that healing doesn’t happen in isolation—it happens through relationships, shared experiences, and mutual support. That’s why we’ve always strived to foster an environment where people feel seen, heard, and valued, both inside and outside of therapy.
As our practice has grown, so too has our dedication to building deeper connections within our neighbourhood and city. Our recent move to a permanent location in Cloverdale marks an exciting new chapter, allowing us to invest even more intentionally in the community around us. The Cloverdale neighbourhood, with its historic charm and vibrant spirit, has always been a natural gathering place. Known for its proximity to scenic trails, downtown amenities, and as the home of the Edmonton Folk Music Festival, it’s a hub where people come together to connect and recharge.
A Partnership Rooted in Shared Values
In alignment with our belief that wellness extends beyond the therapy room, we are thrilled to introduce our new partnership with Cloverdale Coffee. This collaboration is more than just a shared space—it’s a reflection of our shared commitment to fostering meaningful relationships, supporting local initiatives, and promoting personal and collective growth.
Strathearn Psychology and Cloverdale Coffee are joining forces to bring wellness into Edmonton’s beautiful river valley. Whether you’re heading out for a morning walk, stopping by for a moment of reflection, or meeting a friend for coffee, we hope to offer a space where people can pause, connect, and take care of themselves.
Together, we aim to create an environment where conversations about mental health feel as natural as ordering your favourite drink. Just as a great cup of coffee can offer comfort, energy, and warmth, so too can a supportive therapeutic space. By bringing these elements together, we hope to make mental health care more approachable and accessible in everyday life.
Looking Ahead: Honouring Our Commitment to Community
As we celebrate this five-year milestone, we want to take a moment to express our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has been part of this journey—our clients, our team, our colleagues, and our greater Edmonton community. Your trust, your stories, and your willingness to engage in the work of healing and growth inspire us every day.
Thank you for allowing us to be a part of your wellness journey. We look forward to continuing to grow with you, one conversation, one connection, and one shared coffee at a time.
